West Monona got themselves on the board against West Lyon on Saturday, but West Lyon never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 1-0. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Spartans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

West Monona's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Lyon, the loss snapped their winning streak at ten games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.

Looking ahead, West Monona will challenge Griswold at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Lyon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 19-6 victory against Western Christian on the 20th.
