Baseball Recap: Paideia Comes Up Short

If Paideia was feeling good fresh off their 11-4 takedown of Southwest DeKalb on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Paideia Pythons fell 10-5 to the Decatur Bulldogs on Saturday. The Pythons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2016.

Dillon Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Clay, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Paideia fell to 2-1. As for Decatur, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Coming up, Paideia will venture away from home to square off against Drew Charter at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up.
