Skyline is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Brighton on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Skyline was beaten by Brighton 58-31. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now lost six in a row.

Despite the defeat, Skyline saw an underclassman step up: freshman Estella Myers posted 11 points. Hannah Tran also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Meanwhile, Alta beat East 62-50 on Tuesday.

Skyline better focus on containing Alia Baldassano and Quincy Kegel as the pair were huge in Alta's win. Baldassano earned 18 points, while Kegel had 17 points. Meg Rawson was another key player, putting up eight points.

Alta is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Skyline lost to Alta at home by a decisive 62-47 margin in their previous meeting on January 7th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Kegel, who went 11 for 23 on her way to 25 points along with seven boards and four steals.
