Football Recap: Righetti Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Righetti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 35-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Paso Robles Bearcats. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bearcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Righetti lost, don't look at Nicholas Matautia. Despite the final result, he rushed for 138 yards and one score while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 147 yards and a pair of TDs. Another player making a difference was Luke Miller, who gained 145 total yards and a touchdown.

Righetti's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Paso Robles, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Righetti will take on Arroyo Grande at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Paso Robles, they will square off against Atascadero at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
