Softball Recap: Mantachie Comes Up Short

Mantachie fell victim to South Panola and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the South Panola Tigers, falling 13-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Mantachie is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4. As for South Panola, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Coming up, Mantachie will take on Saltillo at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Mantachie is facing Saltillo at the right time seeing as Saltillo is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for South Panola, they will square off against Vancleave at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Panola's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Vancleave's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
