Basketball Recap: Harding Raiders vs. East
Harding took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday (and then some). They breezed by the East East to the tune of 78-38. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-25.
Chaz Coleman had a dynamite game for Harding, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Jeremy Sampson was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 14 points plus three steals.
East now has a losing record at 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harding and Canton Central Catholic are set to duel on Friday. As for East, they will venture away from home to square off against Hoover at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
