Recap: Schuylkill Valley Panthers vs. Upper Perkiomen Indians
Schuylkill Valley kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Upper Perkiomen Indians. Schuylkill Valley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Upper Perkiomen apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.
Schuylkill Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Grumblimg, who went 3-for-4 with an RBI.
On Upper Perkiomen's side, Aiden Keyser looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned run off two hits (he also didn't allow any walks).
At the plate, Owen Williams was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Upper Perkiomen and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Schuylkill Valley will be playing at home against Tamaqua at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Upper Perkiomen, they will head out on the road to take on Oley Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
