Softball Recap: Terre Haute North Vigo Continues Home Dominance on Monday

Terre Haute North Vigo waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Greencastle Tiger Cubs 21-2. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Kenzie Zigler was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Amelia Kelley was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI.

Terre Haute North Vigo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greencastle only posted an OBP of .316.

Terre Haute North Vigo's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Greencastle, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.

Coming up, Terre Haute North Vigo will challenge Sullivan at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greencastle, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Brown County at 6:00 p.m.
