Football Recap: Damien Starts Season with Win Against Aquinas + How To Watch

Damien had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They secured a 20-15 W over the Aquinas Falcons. The win continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Damien's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eric Osorio, who picked up 173 receiving yards and one score. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Arriaza, who threw for 292 yards and a pair of TDs.

Despite the loss, Aquinas still got an impressive performance from Charlie Reyes, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, and also threw for 106 yards on nine of 17 attempts.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Damien will venture away from home to take on JSerra Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aquinas, they are packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Glendora at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
