Baseball Game Preview: Bolton Bulldogs vs. Granby Memorial Bears

Bolton is 0-10 against Granby Memorial since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will take on the Bears at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bolton was handed a 12-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past Hale Ray 2-1.

The team relied heavily on Jackson AmEnde, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Granby Memorial). They blew past Thomaston 18-7 on Saturday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory got Granby Memorial back to even at 5-5. As for Bolton, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-13 record this season.

Bolton couldn't quite get it done against Granby Memorial when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 11-6. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
