Baseball Recap: Hinckley-Finlayson Takes a Loss

Hinckley-Finlayson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia] Huskies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Huskies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in April.

Ethan Martin was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

Hinckley-Finlayson's record now sits at 1-11. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hinckley-Finlayson will venture away from home to face off against Crosby-Ironton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mille Lacs co-op [Isle/Onamia], they will head out to square off against East Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
