Volleyball Recap: Harmony Grove Comes Up Short

Harmony Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lafayette County Cougars. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harmony Grove's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lafayette County, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Harmony Grove and Lafayette County will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Hornets will square off against rival Smackover at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lafayette County is set to face off against their familiar foe Taylor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
