Soccer Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was the 2-0 winner over Carmel when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Giants lost 5-0 to the Corsairs on Wednesday. Highland Park have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Highland Park's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Carmel, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-8-2.

Highland Park and Carmel could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Giants (ranked 205th) will meet Kenosha Bradford (ranked 51st) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carmel will take on Glenbrook North at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (147 vs. 7).
