Baseball Recap: Solorio Gets the Win

Solorio came out on top against Chicago Washington on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Sun Warriors took their matchup against the Patriots 5-1. The Sun Warriors haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Tony Bautista tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Solorio is 2-1 when Bautista allows two or fewer earned runs, but 3-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Sebastian Davila-Adames and Josiah Saucedo did most of the damage at the plate: Davila-Adames went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Saucedo went 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Davila-Adames a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaydiel Salgado, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Solorio's record is now 5-8. As for Chicago Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
