Basketball Recap: Craigmont Comes Up Short

Craigmont lost against Millington Central back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Craigmont Chiefs took a blow against the Millington Central Trojans, falling 58-22. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-4.

Kaitlyn Holmes was a one-woman wrecking crew for Millington Central as she posted 12 points and seven steals. Holmes is becoming a predictor of Millington Central's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is 12-5 (and 4-5 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Arianna Whiten, who put up 15 points.

Craigmont's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Millington Central, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.
