Shelbyville has gone a perfect 7-0 against Broaddus recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Dragons will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Shelbyville is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Shelbyville's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Chireno.

Lanie Bass was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Kylie Snell was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cadee Harley, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Broaddus' offense. They lost 10-0 to Joaquin on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Broaddus' loss dropped their record down to 3-5-1. As for Shelbyville, their record now sits at 15-8.

Everything went Shelbyville's way against Broaddus when the teams last played back in March, as Shelbyville made off with a 9-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Dragons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
