Softball Recap: Morrison Mustangs vs. Rochester Rockets

Morrison scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 13-5 margin over the Rochester Rockets. With that victory, Morrison brought their scoring average up to 6.6 runs per game.

Ava Duncan was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (she also only allowed one walk). Duncan was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

In other batting news, Bella Scachette was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Elle Milnes, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Morrison's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrison will take on Riverdale at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Morrison is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Rochester, they will be playing at home against Decatur Eisenhower at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
