Softball Recap: Plant Panthers vs. Alonso Ravens

With a playoff game on the line, Plant rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Alonso Ravens. The win made it back-to-back victories for Plant.

Addison Swink made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Swink was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

In other pitching news, Cassidy Masters looked comfortable as she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
