Basketball Recap: Nicholas County Takes a Loss

Nicholas County lost against Princeton last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Nicholas County Grizzlies took a hard 59-45 fall against the Princeton Tigers.

Princeton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Addisyn Sarver out in front who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds. That's the most boards Sarver has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Carley Hurt, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points.

Nicholas County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Princeton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nicholas County will host Braxton County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Princeton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
