Volleyball Recap: Edgewood's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Edgewood dropped down to 6-5 on Thursday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 3-0 to the Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Olivia Edgeman paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 13 kills. Edgeman got some help from Jenna Abram and her 29 assists. Abram was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Terre Haute North Vigo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Terre Haute North Vigo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brynn Canup, who had 12 digs. Canup is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Kenzie Zigler also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Edgewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Indianapolis Lutheran on the 6th. As for Terre Haute North Vigo, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Sullivan on the 8th.
