Basketball Recap: Labelle Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

If Bonita Springs wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played LaBelle, they should've done a better job of containing Jerrahd Williams. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls came out on top against the Bonita Springs Bullsharks by a score of 74-65 on Thursday thanks in part to Williams, who went 9 for 12 on his way to 21 points in addition to seven steals and six assists. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Giovanni Beaver was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 14 points. He has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last six times he's played.

LaBelle is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Bonita Springs, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19.

LaBelle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-48 win against Lemon Bay on the 24th. Bonita Springs has also already played their next game, a 60-50 defeat against Ida Baker on the 24th.
