Soccer Recap: Covenant Classical Community's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

If Covenant Classical Community was riding high fresh off their 7-2 takedown of Non Varsity Opponent on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peninsula Catholic Knights on Friday. The loss put an end to Covenant Classical Community's undefeated start to the season.

Gabe Hudson and Carson Marr scored both of Covenant Classical Community's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Having lost for the first time this season, Covenant Classical Community fell to 2-1. As for Peninsula Catholic, the win got them back to even at 1-1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Classical Community will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grace Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on the 16th. As for Peninsula Catholic, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 4:30 p.m.
