Westview and Fairfield are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2018, but likely not for long. The Warriors will take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Westview comes in on three and Fairfield on nine.

Westview's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They came out on top against Columbia City by a score of 3-0. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly three runs.

Westview saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Engle, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Engle has posted since back in June of 2024.

Meanwhile, Fairfield narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Eastside 3-2. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Fairfield's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for Westview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.

Everything went Westview's way against Fairfield in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Westview made off with a 13-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
