Baseball Recap: Covington-Douglas Comes Up Short

Covington-Douglas entered their match against Drummond on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wildcats lost 8-2 to the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Covington-Douglas' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Drummond, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-1.

Covington-Douglas wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-10 win against Pond Creek-Hunter on the 3rd. As for Drummond, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-8 victory against Waukomis on the 3rd.
