Nathan Lackey gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Friday. Despite the defeat, he was still locked in as he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Coming up, Lackey and De La Salle Collegiate will look to defend their home field on Saturday against University of Detroit Jesuit at 11:00 a.m. Sadly, Lackey's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Pilots' six-game streak of wins on the road.
