Basketball Game Preview: Ider Hornets vs. Pisgah Eagles

Ider is 1-9 against Pisgah since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Ider Hornets will challenge the Pisgah Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ider is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 34th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They took a blow against Oakwood Academy, falling 90-27. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Pisgah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-60 heartbreaker at the hands of North Sand Mountain.

Ider's loss dropped their record down to 0-18. As for Pisgah, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Ider was dealt a bruising 90-31 loss at the hands of Pisgah when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can Ider avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
