Soccer Recap: New London Comes Up Short

New London entered their match against Windham on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Whalers came up short against the Whippets, falling 5-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as New London came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Windham are ranked 93rd).

New London's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3-1. As for Windham, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7-2.
