St. John Bosco is on the rise in the Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings presented by the Army National Guard.

On Friday night, St. John Bosco went on the road and trounced Central Catholic (Portland, Ore.) 66-17, the team's third-consecutive blowout victory to open the season.

That allowed the SoCal power to rise from No. 9 to No. 7. With upcoming games against St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, N.J.), Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.) and Orange Lutheran (Calif.), St. John Bosco could rise even higher over the next several weeks.

There was plenty of turnover in the state of Georgia this week, as both Archer and McEachern exited the rankings following losses. That paved the way for Grayson (3-0) to crack the Top 25 after a 26-24 upset of Archer.

Male (Louisville, Ky.) and LaSalle (Cincinnati) also crack the rankings following big victories on Friday night.
