One reason for the win was Amarillo's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 25-16.
Monterey's loss dropped their record down to 20-18. As for Amarillo, they pushed their record up to 33-6 with the win, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
