Basketball Game Preview: Croswell-Lexington Pioneers vs. Imlay City Spartans

Croswell-Lexington is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Imlay City is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Croswell-Lexington Pioneers will host the Imlay City Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Croswell-Lexington was able to grind out a solid win over Almont, taking the game 44-35. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Raiders are ranked 454th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Imlay City earned a 42-34 victory over North Branch on Friday.

Croswell-Lexington is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. Imlay City's win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Croswell-Lexington didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Imlay City in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 56-52 victory.
