Eldon's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Fulton Hornets 7-6. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Colten Bashore and Drew Hinds made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Bashore tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hinds tossed four innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. At bat, Bashore went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Hinds got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Rhett Bashore was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Talon Barb also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Eldon's record now sits at 6-1. As for Fulton, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Eldon will head out to take on California at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Fulton, they will welcome Kirksville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
