Baseball Game Preview: Hooker Bulldogs vs. Watonga Eagles

The Hooker Bulldogs will challenge the Watonga Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither Hooker nor Watonga posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Hooker and Guymon meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers.

Hooker saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Ray, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Watonga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 10-0 to Fairview.

Hooker's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Watonga, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-15.
