Preview: Shadow Ridge Stallions vs. Cesar Chavez Champions
Shadow Ridge has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Cesar Chavez Champions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Shadow Ridge was able to grind out a solid win over Liberty, taking the game 41-34.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shadow Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Danica Lindemann, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Aalayah Ramirez was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Cesar Chavez put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westwood 60-28 at home. Considering Cesar Chavez has won six matches by more than 31 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Shadow Ridge pushed their record up to 6-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cesar Chavez, their victory bumped their record up to 7-0.
Shadow Ridge was taken down by Cesar Chavez 59-20 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Shadow Ridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
