Basketball Recap: Dickson Comets vs. Madill Wildcats
Dickson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 75-18 loss at the hands of the Madill Wildcats. The Comets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-9.
Madill was led to victory by Elexis Holmes and Luciana Douglas. Holmes went 8-for-9 en route to 18 points along with five boards and three steals, while Douglas almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine steals. The dominant performance also gave Douglas a new career-high in assists (five). Arlette Andrade was another key player, putting up seven points in addition to five assists and four steals.
Dickson's loss dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Madill, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-1.
