Basketball Recap: Lake Havasu Takes a Loss

Lake Havasu won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They were outmatched by the Ironwood Eagles and fell 59-28. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-43 back in January.

When it comes to explaining why Lake Havasu lost, don't look at Lexi Tuinstra. Despite the final result, she posted eight points.

Lake Havasu's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Ironwood, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Havasu will head out to face off against Kellis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kellis will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Lake Havasu surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ironwood, they will venture away from home to take on Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ironwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
