Softball Recap: Beaverton Comes Up Short

Beaverton fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Farwell on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 8-7. The Beavers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brooke Remer spent all 7.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and six unearned) runs on 14 hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Bryar Pollard was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Bair, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs.

Beaverton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Farwell, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5.

While Beaverton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
