Flag Football Recap: Monroe Area's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After losing to Walnut Grove the last time they met, Monroe Area decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Purple Hurricanes took down the Warriors 21-6 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Purple Hurricanes as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Monroe Area now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Walnut Grove, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Monroe Area will face off against Gainesville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Walnut Grove, they will challenge Morgan County at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
