Baseball Game Preview: Lake Howell Silverhawks vs. University Cougars

The Lake Howell Silverhawks will head out to take on the University Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Lake Howell came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to Hagerty. The Silverhawks haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Lake Howell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Miranda, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Miranda has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, University came up short against Innovation on Friday, falling 14-2.

Angel Berrios made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2.

University's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Lake Howell, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Everything went Lake Howell's way against University in their previous meeting on March 12th, as Lake Howell made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lake Howell since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
