Basketball Recap: Desert Mountain Comes Up Short

Desert Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 67-59 to the Arizona College Prep Knights. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 77-50.

Justice Moore went supernova for Arizona College Prep, going 8-for-11 en route to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Those 19 points gave Moore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aiden Riesen, who went 7-for-12 on his way to 20 points and five boards.

Desert Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Arizona College Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-17.

As of now, neither Desert Mountain nor Arizona College Prep have any future games scheduled.
