Volleyball Game Preview: Morton Panthers vs. Northeast Lauderdale Trojans

The Morton Panthers will take on the Northeast Lauderdale Trojans at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeast Lauderdale took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Morton, who comes in off a win.

Northeast Lauderdale will be up against a hot Morton squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went the Panthers' way against Mendenhall last Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Northeast Lauderdale came up short against Choctaw Central on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Northeast Lauderdale was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-6, 25-19.

Morton's victory bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Northeast Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-22.
