Softball Recap: Ben Bolt Comes Up Short

Ben Bolt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 8-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Yorktown Wildcats. The Badgers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Ben Bolt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Yorktown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Coming up, Ben Bolt will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Pettus at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Yorktown, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Yorktown is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
