Soccer Game Preview: Hamilton-Wenham Regional vs. Danvers

The Hamilton-Wenham Regional Generals will square off against the Danvers Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hamilton-Wenham Regional is headed into the matchup having not lost since September 16 and will look to keep things rolling. Their defense stepped up to hand Pentucket Regional a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. Given Hamilton-Wenham Regional's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Pentucket Regional are ranked 191st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last match, Danvers made sure to put some goals up on the board against Salem on Friday. They blew past the Witches 6-1. That five goal margin sets a new team best for Danvers this season.

Danvers' win bumped their record up to 8-6-2. As for Hamilton-Wenham Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1-2.
