Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Wins for Annawan

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Annawan had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-43 victory over the ROWVA/Galva/Williamsfield Mid County Cougars. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves/Bravettes.

It was another big night for Bella VanOpdorp, who posted 34 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Annawan's points. Another player making a difference was Paige Sierens, who earned seven points.

Annawan pushed their record up to 7-19 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. As for ROWVA/Galva/Williamsfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
