Parkway entered their matchup against Evangel Christian Academy on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Parkway Panthers fell just short of the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles by a score of 45-43. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Evangel Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Peyton Houston, who threw for 432 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 47 yards and a touchdown. Houston is becoming a predictor of Evangel Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least 300 passing yards the team is 3-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't). A healthy portion of Houston's aerial production (113 yards to be exact) went to Demarkus Evans.

Parkway's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Evangel Christian Academy, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
