Emma Jimenez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Sophia Holguin was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Jessica Monarrez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Kennedy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in four consecutive matchups.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Lindblom lost 17-0 to Hancock. Lindblom hasn't had much luck with Hancock recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Lindblom's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Kennedy, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Everything went Kennedy's way against Lindblom in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Kennedy made off with an 18-3 victory. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
