Gabriel Abbott put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Friday. He struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Those hits marked the first that he allowed this season.
