Recap: Fillmore Central Panthers vs. Centennial Broncos
The Fillmore Central Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Centennial 35-30. Fillmore Central has struggled against Centennial recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Fillmore Central lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Makenna Mccoy, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Ali Nichols, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Fillmore Central has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season. As for Centennial, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
Fillmore Central will head out on the road to square off against Gibbon at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Gibbon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday. As for Centennial, Centennial and Thayer Central will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
