Basketball Recap: Radford Triumphs

Patrick County came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Radford, but Kearson Carter wouldn't allow it. The Radford Bobcats managed a 60-55 victory over the Patrick County Cougars on Tuesday thanks in part to Carter, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Carter is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Angel Thompson, who went 6 of 13 en route to 17 points and three blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win got Radford back to even at 6-6. As for Patrick County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Radford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-48 loss against Alleghany on the 30th. As for Patrick County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 56-51 victory against Floyd County on the 30th.
