Basketball Game Preview: Crawfordsville Athenians vs. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves

The Crawfordsville Athenians will take on the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crawfordsville has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since January 31.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They snuck past Roncalli with a 58-52 victory on Friday.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory's win came from a few key players Crawfordsville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Nicholas Sobek, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Strickland, who put up ten points and five rebounds.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.6 points over those games. Crawfordsville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.
