Bridge City never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Kirbyville Wildcats 50-0 on the road. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cardinals.

Hutch Bearden was a one-man wrecking crew for Bridge City as he rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 188 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes. A healthy portion of that aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Abraham Munguia.

Bridge City wouldn't let Kirbyville keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Bryce Breeden was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

Bridge City's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kirbyville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bridge City will face off against Orangefield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kirbyville, they will square off against Corrigan-Camden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
